Today is the day! The Poison Control Center’s A Nice Old Fashioned Romance With Love Lyrics and Everything is out today! Way over half of the copies are already gone! But I know that ZZZ Records in Des Moines, Vinyl Cafe in Ames, and Record Collector in Iowa City will have some copies! Also Where It’s At, in Ames has a special copy 2 of 150 signed by all the current PCC members and Avalan Wilson the artist behind the package!

We are thrilled to say that the debut EP The Castle from Iowa City’s Emperors Club is now available in digital retailers across the world. You can visit the retailers below to purchase a copy and in some cases stream as well.
There is also a limited run of 200 CDs with art done by Kami Shallenberger. You can order one at the Emperors Club Bandcamp or pick one up directly from them at their show on Friday.

Ex-Action Model has a Soundcloud sampler up of <em>Dropland</em>, his debut full-length, which will be out Oct. 18. He’ll be playing a couple upcoming shows: Oct. 14 at the Beauty Shop in Fairfield, and then Oct. 15 at the Mill with Stephanie Rearick and Utopia Park. The 15th will be the album release party. More links to locations where you can download and stream the album will be coming soon.
You should probably stop everything and listen to “The Castle,” the title track from Emperors Club’s debut EP, which comes out digitally on Tuesday. We’ll have more information then about where you can buy and stream the record. For now, you can get your paws on a limited-to-200 run of the EP at their Bandcamp. Emperors Club will be playing the Mill on Friday, 10/14 and will have copies of their limited edition CD in tow! They’ll be joined by Smoking Popes and Lipstick Homicide. Tickets are $10 day of show but $8 in advance and can be purchased at Record Collector or at Midwestix. Get there!
